Beyond Limits

September 2020

We are more determined than ever to get dancers dancing despite current challenges. With a new focus, LA Dance Moves has invited 6 professional dancers to create with and invites original works of composers to expose their music to new audiences. In an online dance and musical experience, Beyond Limits shares a fresh and exciting look as we tell our stories of hope and resilience. We are also sponsoring one of our own dancers in his choreographic endeavors by creating works for the company.

The Performance

In an online dance and musical experience, Beyond Limits shares a fresh and exciting look as we tell our stories of hope and resilience. Set to the beautiful compositions of guest artist and composer Fredrick Keeve, LA Dance Moves created two new works/world premiers. The concepts include themes of our current struggles and rising above, set to the uniquely different choreographic styles of both artistic director Nancy Paradis and resident choreographer Chasen Greenwood.

Be ready to be inspired by choreography, a special guest, and secret footage in this LA Dance Moves Experience!

Premier was September 19th, 2020

About the Composer

LA Dance Moves is thrilled to be collaborating with esteemed artist and composer

Frederick Keeve

Frederick Keeve has been writing most of his life, either for pleasure, academically or professionally for the entertainment business and he also has been making films since he was 10 years old, growing up in Santa Monica with his brother, Douglas Keeve, who is a writer/director living in New York. He is also an accomplished musician, music director, accompanist, and composer. In addition, Keeve recently completed a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology. He enjoys combining his passion for film, psychology, spirituality and music that fuels his lifelong goal to elevate people's consciousness through his art—as filmmaker, producer, composer, director, writer and actor. Amongst many screenplays and films, Mr. Keeve recently completed a feature film, The Accompanist, a fantasy/drama gay love story with magical realism, classical ballet and classical music as the backdrop. The filmmaker's theme of the film, The Accompanist, is using the healing power of art to unite and celebrate who we truly are.  Frederick's next feature film is the stand-alone sequel entitled, The Accompanist Awakening, to be filmed early 2021.

Mr. Keeve's lifetime mission is to develop and produce highly conscious screenplays and films that reflect not only the diversity in society today, but also the need to evolve "Hollywood" into more of a conscious conduit for great storytelling that entertains, but can also enlighten and uplift audiences.

Fun Fact: Frederick has a long-time obsession with riding motorcycles!
